Update From Triumph

Hello, Finally we arrived in Turkey. Marmaris is a big city, but Yat Marine is about 5 miles across the bay, so we are is a quiet but busy resort atmosphere. The new pool and restaurant are wonderful. We went to a birthday party yesterday by the pool, swam had an early dinner, and relaxed for several hours. We are in the process of checking in to the country, getting visas, and making a storage contract with Yat Marine. The staff are very friendly, speak English, and help in any way possible. Our slip in on " Charlie Dock" We have friends already on the dock, who we met in Bermuda, Portugal, Spain and Italy. they have a four year old , Hanna, who is adorable.

Our passage from Simi, Greece took 7 hours in good seas and wind. Simi has many ferries bringing tourist so it has an active night life complete with noise and traffic around the one lane road separating the boats from the restaurant tables. We were immersed for two days.

We have traveled over 1300 nautical miles from Rome in two months. This is a fast pace due partly to the Meltimi weather pattern that held us up so much for 5- 7 days at a time. We are tired of moving and look forward to relaxing in Marmaris, doing some inland travel for a month or so, then flying home.
